Woman airlifted after fiery crash on Highway 395

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – One person was airlifted and two others transported to local hospitals following a fiery crash Wednesday night.

At about 5:24 pm, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies and San Bernardino County Fire were dispatched to a traffic collision with fire on Highway 395 near Seneca Road.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel located two vehicles blocking the roadway with one of them on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Firefighters requested one airship to airlift a critically injured female patient to an out of area trauma center. Two additional patients were transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals, officials said.

According to unconfirmed reports, the female victim was kidnapped out of Colton and jumped from the moving vehicle in an effort to escape her kidnapper. Victor Valley News member Lorraine Martinez stopped at the scene to help the victim.

“I thought she was ejected from the car but she said she jumped out of the car,” said Martinez. “She was kidnapped and the guy started hitting her and threatened to kill her and that’s why se jumped out of the car.”

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation and information will be updated as it becomes available.
