Woman Accused of Touching Two Young Girls Inappropriately

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com)- A 25-year-old transient woman is behind bars after allegedly touching two young girls in a sexually inappropriate manner, authorities said.

Chelsea Frances Shelnut, was arrested on Sunday afternoon after San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call on the 13000 block of Brighton Circle in Victorville.

Authorities say Shelnut had been staying at the residence with family for several days.

During Shelnut’s stay with family members, she allegedly touched a 9-year-old and 6-year-old girl “in a sexually inappropriate manner, stated Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.

According to public court records, Shelnut was arrested on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and PC 245(a) an assault that inflicts great bodily injury.

Shelnut is currently ineligible for bail and is scheduled to appear in a Victorville courtroom on Tuesday, January 24th.
