VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in a rollover crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old Victorville woman, officials said.
It happened at about 8:38 pm. when a California Highway Patrol Officer encountered a single vehicle rollover traffic collision involving 2001 Nissan Pathfinder on Yates Road, west of Park Road.
The investigation revealed the driver of the Nissan Pathfinder, identified as Patience Marie Entler was traveling west on Yates Road, at a highrate of speed.
“For reasons still under investigation, the driver made an unsafe turning movement, causing the Pathfinder to strike a raised concrete curb on the north roadway edge of Yates Road. The vehicle then veered out of control before overturning multiple times, causing the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, to be ejected from the vehicle,” CHP officials said in a news release.
Entler was transported by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
A 29-year-old male passenger from Victorville, who was wearing his seatbelt suffered minor injuries, and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by airship.
CHP officials confirmed “alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this collision” and is still under investigation by the Victorville office.
