VVUHSD’s Williams named ACSA Vice President

Local superintendent elected to position in statewide organization

SACRAMENTO — Victor Valley Union High School Superintendent Dr. Ron Williams has been elected the statewide Vice President of the Association of California School Administrators.

ACSA is the largest organization for school leaders in the nation, serving more than 17,000 California K-12 educators. The organization provides resources for school administrators while also advocating for educational legislation.

“It is a tremendous honor to be elected Vice President of this outstanding organization,” Dr. Williams said. “I have been an ACSA member for more than 15 years now, and the organization has always gone above and beyond to develop and serve school leaders while also advocating for California’s millions of students.”

Dr. Williams was elected to the position at ACSA’s Leadership Assembly on May 10 in Sacramento. He will continue to serve as VVUHSD’s superintendent while also serving on the ACSA Executive Committee, chairing one ACSA committee, and working closely with the executive director and board president.

Dr. Williams earned a National Superintendent Certification from AASA, The School Superintendents Association. He was named the ACSA Region 12 Superintendent of the Year and finalist for the National Superintendent of the Year in 2017.
