VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): A piece of history or childhood memory for many was taken with the closing of the Victorville Target on January 30th. The closing came as a shock to some, although it was announced in the fall of 2015. Several went the last day hoping for sales that just were not there since most merchandise just went to other Target stores and others went to pay their last respects to the store that served them well.
On Monday, March 14th a Victor Valley News Reporter visited the store that has signs removed and boarded up doors. The doors were open now, and Target officials at the store said that they are expected to be daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week until the fixtures and furniture are liquidated. Items from file cabinets, to store shelves all the way to the shopping cart bays are priced to sell.
Few people were seen both window shopping and making purchases with a slow flow of traffic to catch a piece of Target history. The building located at 15321 Palmdale Road that is owned by Target is now for sale and the liquidation sale is being handled by Target employees. Need store fixtures, furniture and more?
