Victorville School Placed on a Lockdown Due to Threat to School Employee

VICTORVILLE-( A Victorville Elementary School was placed on a brief lockdown as a precaution, according to school officials.

The lockdown was initiated at about 10:25 a.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 following a domestic disturbance in the 16000 block of Merrill Street.

According to authorities, 36-year-old Leslie Oldfield allegedly yelled at his mother making threats to attack his father at his place of work. The father of Oldfield, is an employee at Village Elementary School, located at 14711 Mojave Drive in Victorville.

Following the brief disturbance Oldfield left the home in a white sedan causing the school to be placed on lockdown.

Approximately 5 minutes after the initiation of the lockdown, the vehicle was located by Sheriff deputies near Hesperia Road and Crestview Drive.

Oldfield, who was driving the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Arrest records indicate the Oldfield was cited and released.
