VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Genaro Garcia Huesca, 42, of Victorville was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroners Office as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday night.
Sheriff’s officials said that on the night of March 2, 2018, at about 11:01 pm, Genaro was seen wearing dark-colored clothing as he walked along the west shoulder of Highway 395. A witness reported seeing a vehicle, also traveling south on US-395 swerve and strike Genaro as he walked along the shoulder near Seneca Road.
Following the impact, the driver of the vehicle never stopped to check on Genaro’s condition and fled the scene of the crash in a dark-colored four-door vehicle with passenger side damage.
Good Samaritans stopped to render aid but despite their life-saving measures and that of medical personnel, Genaro was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of March 6th Sheriff’s officials haven’t announced any arrest in the death of Genaro. Anyone with information is asked to call Deputies K. Riberich or R. Jahn at (760)552-6800.
