UPDATE: Trailer Stolen From Spring Valley Lake Recovered

VICTORVILLE-( On Saturday, February 20, 2016, a trailer parked in front of a Spring Valley Lake home near Ridgecrest Road and Elmwood Drive was stolen. The homeowner caught the brazen theft on surveillance footage, aiding the recovery of the enclosed trailer.

On February 22, 2016, the trailer was spotted on Alder Street between Peach and I Avenues in Hesperia. The address was given to the registered owner of the trailer and although the serial number plaque was removed, deputies were able to identify the trailer was the stolen trailer that still had the washer and dryer inside.

Registered owner Javier Ortega said, “It was released back to me on the spot.  The officers are proceeding with their investigation.”  He said that the adult at the home where it was parked claimed to know nothing about it and that it was dropped off by his friend that same morning.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Victor Valley Station at (760) 956-5001.
