U-haul Truck Stolen With Family’s Belongings

VICTORVILLE:( At 8:24 a.m. Victorville resident David Gross reported an open U-haul truck that seemed to be abandoned by his home near Amethyst Road and Begonia Road, just north of Palmdale Road. “Police just contacted me it was reported stolen this morning on their way to come and retrieve what’s left,” said Dave Gross in a Victor Valley News post.

According to Gross, police arrived at the scene with the renters of the Uhaul truck, who were planning on moving from the Victorville area to Northern California. The theft victims had finished loading the  two U-haul trucks at about 1:00 a.m. in the Luna Road and El Evado Road area.  One truck was a large 26 foot truck and the other was the smaller truck, which was missing when they woke up.

Gross reported hearing his dogs barking sometime between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Labor Day Monday.
