Two Hesperia Men Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

HESPERIA-(  Dispatch received a call on Thursday night that a woman believed that she was followed home by two unknown men who were sitting in their vehicle in her driveway.

On September 17th at about 10:20 p.m. Sheriff’s helicopter arrived on scene to the home in the 14000 block of Jenny Street in Hesperia. Upon arrival, they ran the vehicle license plate, which came back a plate belonging to a vehicle reported stolen from the Victorville area earlier that evening.

According to the Sheriff’s press release, deputies made a P.A. announcement and both subjects exited the vehicle and were subsequently detained. Checks not belonging to either suspect were also located inside the stolen vehicle.

The two Hesperia residents, suspect Luis Sardinas, 33 and Ricardo Aguilar, 24 were arrested for possession of stolen property. Sardinas was also wanted for an outstanding warrant and Aguilar was found to be out on bail for a grand theft auto arrest. Both suspects were booked at HDDC. The recovered 1990 Mazda pickup was returned to the owner in Victorville.

Hesperia Sheriff’s Station made contact with the owners of the stolen checks already to notify them of the recovered checks. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information about this investigation is encouraged to contact the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station at 760-947-1500 or remain anonymous by calling We Tip at 800-78-CRIME.
