Transient arrested for attempting to steal a printer

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A 31-year-old transient from Victorville was arrested after attempting to steal a printer.

On August 4th at about 1:08 pm, Daniel Davila walked into the Office Max store in the 12600 block of Amargosa Road. officials say he picked up a printer and began to leave without paying.

“Employees tried to stop the suspect, at which time he pushed and hit one of them,” described a sheriff’s news release.

The employees retrieved the printer before Davila fled across the 15 freeway.

Davila was located in the desert near Cottonwood Avenue by Deputy D. Fratt.

The store employee refused medical assistance at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Davila was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for robbery.
