Traffic near Cajon Pass jammed as new fire erupts in Devore

DEVORE, Calif. (VVNG.com) – Traffic in the area of the 15/215 interchange is jammed as fire crews battle a new brush fire in Devore dubbed the Meyers Fire.

At about 1:38 pm, the Meyers Fire, was reported in the area of Meyers Road and south Martin Ranch Road about a quarter-mile from the 215 freeway in Devore.

As of 1:50 pm, the fire is approximately five acres in size with a potential rapid rate of spread to 20 ares, scanner traffic reported.

A full response has been requested to respond to the incident command post at Little League Park. The new fire is burning several miles west of the Little League fire that prompted officials to close the 215 freeway.

Traffic on the northbound 15 near the 215 interchange is currently jammed due to the freeway closure on the 215 freeway.
