Strong Winds to Whip The Victor Valley

VICTOR VALLEY – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Victor Valley with winds expected to gust up to 50 mph on Sunday and Monday.

According to the NWS, a vigorous low-pressure system over the eastern pacific will move through southern California tonight and Monday bringing a strong onshore flow.

The region can expect strong gusty southwest to west winds in the mountains and deserts for tonight starting at 6:00 p.m. into Monday evening.

Southwest winds are expected to be between 20 to 30 mph with gust of to 50 mph.

Visibility is likely to be reduced at times due to blowing sand and dust in the deserts. High profile vehicles are urged to use extra precaution as the winds can make driving difficult.

There’s currently a 60% chance of precipitation with the strongest chance of rain between 1am-3am Monday morning.
