Stolen Gun, Drugs, And Other Property Recovered During Search Warrant

BARSTOW, CA:(VVNG.com)– On Friday, October 14, 2016, at approximately 10:15 AM, the Barstow Police Department served a search warrant at a residence located in the 900 block of Carson Street, within 1000 feet of Cameron Elementary School.

The investigation revealed Quentrel Maston, 24, Carnell Avery, 26, Eugene Whitmore, 23, and Monique Ryquelle Martin, 18, were associated with the residence being searched.

These subjects were detained by Barstow Police officers during the execution of the warrant.

During the search of the residence, officers located methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and a digital scale. The quantities and packaging of the methamphetamine, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana were consistent with the sales of these items.

A loaded 45 caliber pistol was located in the residence near the illegal narcotics. This firearm was reported as being stolen during a residential burglary in the city of Victorville, California on October 1, 2014. Two additional boxes of ammunition in different calibers was located within the residence.

In addition to the above items, a projector taken during a recent burglary at Central High School was located inside the residence. Several other items suspected of being taken during recent burglaries was located inside the residence. These items have been retained by the Barstow Police Department pending further investigation.

As a result of this investigation, Quentrel Maston, Eugene Whitmore, and Monique Martin were booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Jail in Barstow for being in violation of 11370.1 HS – Possess Narcotics for Sale While Armed, 11366 HS – Opening or Maintaining a Drug House, 11353.1 HS – Selling Narcotics Within 1000′ of a School, 11351 HS – Possession of Cocaine for Sale, 11378 HS – Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, 11359 HS – Possession of Marijuana for Sale, 496(a) PC – Possession of Stolen Property, and 182(a) PC – Conspiracy.

Carnell Avery, who is a convicted felon, was booked into the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Jail in Barstow for being in violation of 29800(a) PC – Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 30305(a)(1) PC – Convicted Felon Possess Ammunition, 11370.1 HS – Possess Narcotics for Sale While Armed, 11366 HS – Opening or Maintaining a Drug House, 11353.1 HS – Selling Narcotics Within 1000′ of a School, 11351 HS – Possession of Cocaine for Sale, 11359 HS – Possession of Marijuana for Sale, 496(a) PC – Possession of Stolen Property, and 182(a) PC – Conspiracy.
