Shots fired report on 7th street in Victorville determined to be unfounded

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Deputies investigated a report of shots fired at a busy intersection Friday evening and determined the incident to be unfounded.

A about 6:00 pm, several Victorville station sheriff’s deputies responded to the intersection of Green Tree Blvd. and Seventh Street in Victorville. The reporting party informed deputies a male standing on the sidewalk aimed what appeared to be a gun at their passing vehicle.

Deputies responded and made contact with the suspect in the 14200 block of St Andrews Drive where he was detained without incident. Deputies were seen searching the surrounding area for any possible weapons but were unable to locate any shell casings or the alleged weapon.

The suspect, who’s identity has not been released was arrested for California Health and Safety Code 11550 HS. Willfully using or being under the influence of a “controlled substance” or an illegally obtained narcotic drug.
