Man Dead After Shooting Spree

shootingAt least two people are dead after authorities were led by a suspect on a high speed pursuit early this morning.

A suspect began shooting at random bystanders and Officers when the pursuit came to an end just 8 miles past Kramer Junction, near Highway 58 and US 395.

Officers shot back and are believed to have killed the suspect.

The pursuit began this morning around 5:30am in the city of Ridgecrest. . Another person was reportedly shot and killed by the suspect prior to the pursuit. It is believed that the male suspect had at least two hostages in the trunk of his vehicle, possibly his children, according to early reports.However, no further information has been released.

The suspect was alleged to be a disgruntled employee of a mineral company in the city of Trona and may have plotted to hurt employees as well, according to a source close to the incident.

Mercy air was requested to land for an undetermined amount of victims, possibly more than 3 people have been injured in the shooting spree with unknown injuries.
