ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) Authorities are investigating a shooting that led to a rollover crash in Victorville.
On Sunday evening, authorities responded to a traffic collision that occurred on Palmdale Road at approximately 6:58 p.m., they located a vehicle with multiple bullet holes in the windshield lying on its side.
Scanner traffic reported that two Black male adults were witnessed fleeing the traffic collision towards a field behind Stator Brothers on Highway 395, and one of those suspects were said to have facial injuries.
A passenger in the crashed vehicle remained on scene and informed deputies that a female went missing from the car after shots rang out. She was described as a Hispanic female approximately 19 years of age.
However, authorities were not provided with much information leading up to the shooting.
It was unclear at the time of the incident exactly what may have transpired, but authorities said the shooting occurred a block away from the accident near Pearmain Street and Begonia Road.
Several minutes before the crash, Sheriff’s dispatch received calls from a homeowner in the area of Pearmain Street saying a female knocked on his door and said her and her cousin were robbed and shot at by Black male adults.
It’s believed the female that approached the house was the one that was missing from the vehicle. She was later said to be picked up at a bus stop on Pearmain Street and Seneca Road and taken to a Victorville residence. Authorities were seeking her for questioning.
It’s unclear if the shooting is somehow related to the Victorville incident that left a Hispanic 17-year-old male injured when he was shot in the chest near Tracey Street Sunday afternoon.
Attempts to reach the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station in Adelanto for an update was unsuccessful.
