Victorville Fire Truck Involved in Accident

ADELANTO:(VVNG.com)- A San Bernardino County Fire Medic truck responding to a house fire on the 14000 block of Ivy Street in Adelanto was involved in a traffic collision on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. The multi vehicle collision occurred at about 3:40 P.M., on Palmdale Road near Pearmain Street.

Two passenger vehicles, a white Nissan Altima and a silver Nissan were traveling eastbound on Palmdale Road when one vehicle struck the other on the rear passenger side and caused one of the vehicles to spin around and strike the rear quarter panel of fire truck 311.

A passenger in the silver Nissan that crashed into the fire truck was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. Firefighters on board the fire truck were not injured. The male driver of the Altima sustained a head injury but declined medical treatment at the scene.

A portion of Palmdale Road between Bellflower Street and Pearmain Street was shut down in both directions while authorities investigated the crash.

Meanwhile, Firefighters were able to put out the house fire on Ivy Street within 15 minutes. Firefighters managed to contain the fire to the living room of the unoccupied home. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
