Road closures planned for Victorville Veterans Day Parade

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) The City of Victorville is advising motorist about upcoming road closures for the 21st Annual Victorville Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on November 11.

Portions of 7th Street between Mojave Drive and B Street as well as Forrest Avenue between 7th Street and 6th Street will be closed from 7 a.m.- 11 a.m., for the parade.

No traffic will be permitted to drive on or across 7th Street along the parade route during this time.

Motorists are asked to use caution and use alternate routes such as Hesperia Road when traveling in Old Town on Saturday morning.

The City’s Veterans Day events will begin at 8:45 a.m. with the Freedom Mile Run. The Parade will begin at 9 a.m.at the corner of Tracy and 7th Street.

The Veterans Day Ceremony will immediately follow the parade at 7th Street and Forrest Avenue.

This year’s Ceremony will feature a special Salute to Victorville Veterans including recognition for 100 local Veterans from Victorville.

Seating for the Ceremony is limited. Individuals planning to attend the Ceremony are encouraged to bring chairs, if possible.
