UPDATE 6/27: Stolen Iconic Cross Eyed Cow Van RECOVERED
ORO GRANDE:(VVNG.com)- The famous yellow and white van that’s parked outside the Cross Eyed Cow Pizza was stolen early Tuesday morning.
If you’ve ever traveled along Route 66 through the town of Oro Grande you’ve likely seen the infamous Cross Eyed Cow pizza restaurant located at 19242 National Trails Highway.
Employee Danielle Boyd told Victor Valley News, the van was parked outside the business on early Tuesday morning and it suddenly disappeared.
Tourist from all around the globe visit the historic town of Oro Grande to check out the cemetery, antique shops, Elmer’s Bottle Tree Ranch, and most importantly to have a slice of Pizza at the Cross Eyed Cow.
The stolen 1975 old school VW Bug is an important icon for locals and tourist alike. “It’s our mascot we need that van back!” says Danielle.
Jim Granger the owner of Cross Eyed Cow is offering a $500 reward for the return of the van.
