Region to Experience First Major Heat Wave of the Season

VICTOR VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch impacting the deserts and Inland Empire for Friday and Saturday.

According to the NWS,  this will be the first major heat wave of the season. A strengthening high-pressure system will create a warming trend through Saturday. Temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees above seasonal normals for the region.

Temperatures in the High Desert are expected to range between 100 to 108 degrees. The lower deserts can expect temperatures ranging from 110 to 117 degrees.

A gradual cool down is expected to begin on Sunday.
