BAKER, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 54-year-old man from Redondo Beach, CA was killed in an early morning crash along interstate 15 Thursday morning.
It happened March 1, 2018, on the southbound I-15 at about 4:14 am, about 8-miles north of Baker.
For reasons still under investigation, the male driver of the For Explorer made an unsafe turning movement to the left, causing the vehicle to travel into the dirt center median.
According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, “after the Ford entered the dirt center median, the driver lost control, and the Ford traveled in a southwesterly direction. The Ford rolled multiple times causing the driver to be ejected as the Ford crossed the southbound lanes on I-15. The Ford continued on its path and eventually came to a rest in the open desert, west of I-15. The driver of the Ford (sole occupant) came to a rest in the southbound lanes and sustained fatal injuries.
