Police Search For Missing Hesperia Man With Schizophrenia

HESPERIA, CA:(VVNG.com)– Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a 48-year-old Hesperia man who suffers from schizophrenia.

James Lee Moses
was last seen on Monday, October 17, 2016 at approximately 1:00 p.m. by his uncle at 24-Hour Fitness in Apple Valley. Moses is seen on video entering and exiting the business several times.

He was last seen leaving at approximately 1:45 p.m. and walked north toward Bear Valley Rd.

Moses is 48 years old, 5’7, 182 lbs., with balding brown hair and brown eyes. He is wearing a white t-shirt and grey sweats.

Family states he is schizophrenic and diabetic. Moses takes insulin for diabetes and multiple medications for schizophrenia, but does not have his medication with him. He has not made suicidal statements or attempts in recent memory. Moses like to take walks in the riverbed area between Hesperia and Apple Valley.

The search is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Hesperia Station, Detective Pangburn at (760)947-1500 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760)956-5001.
