Police investigate shooting on B street in Victorville

Authorities have not located any shooting victims

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) An investigation into an alleged shooting remains ongoing Tuesday afternoon.

At about 2:00 p.m., dispatch received reports of shots fired in the 16900 block of B Street in Victorville.

A woman who asked to remain anonymous told Victor Valley News she saw a Black man on B Street firing a black handgun towards a maroon colored Nissan as he ran towards Hesperia Road.

“I was so scared when I realized what was happening. I grabbed my son and hid for cover in the bathtub,” stated the woman.

Victorville Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Allen said they have one person detained and have no confirmed shooting victims.

Majority of the investigation appears to be centered around an apartment at the corner of B and Eight Streets. Several evidence markers were placed around empty beer cans scattered around the front yard.

Officials confirmed they are looking for a maroon colored sedan last seen heading southbound on Hesperia Road.

Please check back later as details will be updated as they become available.
