Phelan Man Arrested for Tuesday Night Stabbing

PHELAN-(VVNG.com): An 18-year-old Phelan man was arrested on May 19th for stabbing a woman in the chest during an altercation. The incident occurred at approximately 10:39 P.M., Tuesday night, the suspect, later identified as Ludwin Cruz stabbed the female victim at the residence in the 10400 block of Sheep Creek Road.

The victim left the residence on foot and made it to her residence in the 4000 block of Smoke Tree. The victim was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Cruz was also arrested on February 12th for obstructing an officer during a burglary of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in the 9600 block of Sheep Creek Road. He was found guilty of all charges including, burglary, vandalism, battery and resisting arrest. Once convicted and released with credit for the 30 days of time served.

Ludwin Cruz was located at the residence in the 10400 block of Sheep Creek Road and arrested without incident.  Cruz was booked at High Desert Detention Center for attempt murder and is currently being held in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.  He is due to appear at the Victorville Superior Court for an arraignment hearing on Friday, May 22nd.
