Pedestrian killed in Tuesday night Crash in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) A pedestrian walking in an unmarked crosswalk was struck and killed in Victorville Tuesday, officials said.

At 7:07 pm., emergency crews responded to the intersection of Mojave Drive and Ferndale Road reference a vehicle versus pedestrian.

“Upon arrival, deputies determined a black Nissan 200 was traveling east on Mojave Drive near Ferndale Road. A pedestrian crossing Mojave Drive, outside of a marked crosswalk, was struck by the Nissan,” sheriff’s officials said in a news release.

Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The identity of the deceased has not been released.

The driver of the Nissan was treated and released at the scene.
