Pedestrian killed near Highway 138 in Pinon Hills

PINON HILLS, Calif. (VVNG.com) A male pedestrian was killed after he was struck by a vehicle Monday night.

It happened in the area of Highway 138 and Walnut Road/Oasis Road in the town of Pinon Hills.

At 10:41 p.m., dispatch received a report from a male driver of a white Chevy Suburban stating he struck a pedestrian in the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol incident logs.

The logs indicated the male was laying in the roadway and not moving.

San Bernardino County Fire responded and pronounced the victim deceased at 10:58 p.m., scanner traffic reported.

The California Highway Patrol will handle the investigation.
