VICTOR VALLEY – On Wednesday, March 8, 2017, between the hours of 12:00 pm and 10:00 pm Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station investigators, Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division, State Parole agents and San Bernardino County Probation Officers conducted a sex registrant compliance event. Operation Safe Home 2 consisted of these agencies checking on registered sex offenders who reside in the unincorporated areas of the Victor Valley to verify they were in compliance with their registration requirements along with probation and parole searches.
As a result of Operation Safe Home 2, seven arrests were made for narcotics violations, outstanding warrants and registration violations. During the event, five persons required to register were found to be in violation of their registration terms. Criminal investigations are being conducted on those five persons. A total of 102 persons were contacted and found to be in compliance with their registration requirements.
The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station continues to monitor and conduct random compliance checks of all registered sex offenders within the unincorporated areas of the Victor Valley. Compliance checks are conducted in accordance with state laws and guidelines for monitoring sex offenders.
