One Seriously Injured After Pickup and Semi Collide Head-on

ADELANTO:( A stretch of US Highway 395 remained closed for approximately 9 hours following a major injury traffic collision.

The head-on crash involving a tractor-trailer and a Dodge Ram was reported at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12th at Highway 395 and Palmdale Road.

The female driver of the pickup truck was trapped and required extrication. According to San Bernardino County Fire, the extrication was complete by 12:23 a.m. and the patient was airlifted to a trauma hospital with major injuries. No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

A Hazmat unit responded to assist with the clean up of 100 gallons of diesel fuel that leaked from the semi-truck.

US Highway 395 remained closed till about 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the Victor Valley Sheriff’s station. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
