No Injuries Reported in Northbound 15 Freeway Car Fire

CAJON PASS:(VVNG.com)- At about 10:26 AM., on Monday, a vehicle fire was reported on the northbound 15 freeway 1 mile south of Oak Hill Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, the vehicle stopped along the right shoulder of the freeway and the occupants exited the vehicle.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered the vehicle, a Honda Accord fully engulfed with no threat to the vegetation.

Mark Bean was driving by and witnessed the vehicle fire. “I was 3 lanes over and I could feel the heat inside my truck,” he stated.

CHP logs show the No.5 lane is currently blocked while firefighters work on extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
