Motorcyclist Killed in Lucerne Valley Crash ID’d

LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com)– A 79-year-old man died in a single motorcycle accident in Lucerne Valley Friday afternoon.

According to the San Bernardino County coroner David R. Free, a resident of Sandy, Utah, was driving his three-wheeled motorcycle when he appeared to lose control of it.

Authorities say David was traveling northbound on Highway 18 when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway approximately two miles south of Camp Rock Road in Lucerne Valley.

Other riders in his party called for medical aid. He was transported to the emergency room at St. Mary Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:29 p.m. on March 24th.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
