Motorcyclist Fatally Injured In Crash On Village Drive

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) A man on a motorcycle was fatally injured in a Sunday evening collision with a car, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Village Drive and Oceanside Drive.

A Suzuki GSX-R750 was traveling northbound on Village when it collided into a Scion Xb that pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

An off-duty nurse performed CPR on the motorcyclist until medical personnel arrived on scene. The motorcyclist was transported by ground ambulance to Victor Valley Hospital where he died of his injuries, sheriff officials confirmed.

Village Drive was closed between Heatherdale Road and Blue Canyon Road, and Oceanside Drive was closed at Ventura Lane leading up to Village Drive.

The roadway is expected to remain closed for several hours while the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) work on gathering evidence to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The driver of the Scion remained at the scene, however, it’s unknown if the driver suffered any injuries.

No further information was immediately available as of Sunday night.
