Motorcyclist Dies in Rollover Crash

PINON HILLS:( A motorcyclist in a rollover crash was thrown from his motorcycle and died as a result of his injuries.

The crash was reported at 9:43 PM, on Wednesday, April 13th in the area of Oasis Road and Bear Valley Road in Pinon Hills.

According to officials, a 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading west on Bear Valley Road at an unknown rate of speed and the male driver failed to stop at Oasis Road. The motorcycle continued through the intersection and went off the roadway into an open field. The motorcycle began to overturn, the rider was thrown from the motorcycle and he suffered major injuries, including head trauma.

The male was transported to the emergency room at Desert Valley Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending positive identification and notification of next of kin.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Victorville CHP.
