VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com)– A motorcyclist was airlifted Saturday night after colliding with an SUV on Hesperia Road.
The crash involving a Chevy Suburban and a black Harley Davidson was reported at about 10:30 p.m. on November 19th just south of Crestview Drive in Victorville.
When authorities arrived at the scene, they located the rider down in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. Due to his injuries, an airship was requested to airlift the patient to an out of area trauma hospital.
Eyewitness Yasmeen told Victor Valley News, she saw the motorcycle in the parking lot of the Rustic Tavern Bar located on the 14500 block of Hesperia Road just minutes before the collision.
“This guy (motorcyclist) was actually there with some other bikers and they looked disgruntled, so we got nervous and said eh (expletive) we’ll leave,” stated Yasmeen A.
According to Yasmeen, the motorcyclist left the bar passing up her vehicle at a high rate of speed.
Based on preliminary investigation, the Suburban was attempting to exit a parking lot and make a left hand turn onto Hesperia Road when the motorcyclist t-boned the SUV.
The male driver of the Suburban was also transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Hesperia Road will be closed between City View Drive and Crestview Drive for several hours while the Major Accident Investigation Team conducts the investigation.
Information will be updated as it becomes available.
