Motorcyclist Airlifted After Hesperia Traffic Collision

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): A motorcyclist was airlifted after a traffic collision on Seventh Avenue and Sequoia Street Sunday afternoon. Just before 12:50 p.m. emergency personnel was dispatched to the a traffic collision that was reported to be blocking southbound Seventh Avenue.

Upon arrival, a male motorcyclist was located down in the roadway with his motorcycle under a black compact car. The motorcyclist, who was conscious and breathing was transported to Desert Valley Hospital to be airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for the treatment of injuries.

Authorities said that his injuries consist of bone fractures and possible internal injuries.

A second patient, the 16-year-old female driver of the black compact car was transported by ground ambulance to a local Hospital for treatment of minor facial abrasions from the vehicle glass.

The grandmother of the teen and a second  juvenile male were in the vehicle at the time of the collision, neither of the passengers suffered any injuries as a result of the collision.

The road was reopened to traffic at around 2:00 p.m. The cause of the collision is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Hesperia Station.
