VICTORVILLE, CA:(VVNG.com)- A 13-year-old missing teenage girl was safely located by a citizen on Wednesday afternoon.
The juvenile was reported missing from a home on Far Hills Lane in Victorville at 8:17 a.m. on September 14th, 2016.
According to authorities, the teen was last seen by her family at 6:30 a.m. inside the family home. At about 8:00 a.m. the family discovered the teen was missing.
“The family reported that the girl had diminished mental capacity and was not familiar with the area, as she had just moved here from the Chino area,” according to published information officer Mara Rodriguez.
Several units, including the Sheriff’s Aviation Division and a K9 unit, began an extensive search for the girl. Security officers from the shopping center at Highway 395 and Palmdale Road confirmed she had been seen there and was walking westbound on Highway 395.
At approximately 11:00am a citizen brought the girl to the Victorville Police Department after finding her at the AM/PM on Palmdale Road. She was in good condition and her family was notified.
