Man Shot Following Verbal Argument in Adelanto

ADELANTO:(VVNG.com)- An Adelanto man was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held on $50,000.000 bail.

On September 27, 2014 at approximately 9:22 a.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a 911 call in the 11200 block of Auburn Avenue in Adelanto. According to the caller, someone at the location had been shot.

Through the investigation, deputies learned the suspect, 42-year-old Michael Dorrough, and the adult male victim were involved in a verbal argument. At some point during the argument, Dorrough pulled out a .32 caliber handgun and shot the victim in the arm. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, according to authorities.
