At approximately 10:15 p.m. officers responded to the area of Roy Rogers Drive and Civic Drive for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodiguez said the man appeared to have jumped in front vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old Victorville man. “It’s not clear why he may have done this,” stated Rodriguez.

According to witness Albert Torres, the male is believed to be a local transient who frequents the AmPm.
