Man Injured After Jumping in Front of Moving Vehicle

VICTORVILLE, CA:(VVNG.com)– A 29-year-old Victorville man was injured Tuesday night after jumping in front of a moving vehicle, authorities said.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. officers responded to the area of Roy Rogers Drive and Civic Drive for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodiguez said the man appeared to have jumped in front vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old Victorville man. “It’s not clear why he may have done this,” stated Rodriguez.

According to witness Albert Torres, the male is believed to be a local transient who frequents the AmPm.

The male was transported by ground ambulance to Loma Linda University Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries.
