YERMO-(VVNG.com): A 70-year-old Vista, California man sustained minor injuries after plowing into the back of a tractor-trailer on Wednesday afternoon, CHP officials said.
Just before 1:00 p.m., CHP officers from the Barstow Station, Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Barstow Fire, as well as additional emergency personnel were dispatched reference the report of a traffic collision involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car.
Upon arrival, CHP officers learned that a 2016 Volvo semi, driven by a 44-year-old Sherman Oaks man, was traveling southbound on interstate 15 just north of the Agricultural inspection station.
As the tractor-trailer came to a stop, in the right lane the man driving his 2004 Lexus sedan slammed into the rear of the truck. The man driving the Lexus sustained minor injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Barstow Community Hospital. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured as a result of the crash.
This collision is still under investigation by the Barstow Area California Highway Patrol.
