Man Attempts to Rob Person Outside Bank

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies are actively searching for a man who attempted to rob a person for a bank deposit.

The incident occurred near the Wells Fargo bank at 9:29 a.m. on the 15300 block of Roy Rogers Drive, Thursday morning.

Scanner traffic reported the suspect as a Black male adult, 6 foot tall wearing a reflective vest over a gray hoodie, blue pants, and a white mask.

The suspect knocked the deposit out of the victim’s hand, but the victim fought off the robber, per scanner logs.

The suspect then ran north on Amargosa Road. 40king (Sheriff’s helicopter) was called in to assist with the search.

The Victor Valley has  seen a rash of recent crime in the past week, including two homes that were burglarized by men wearing reflective vests and Wednesday night’s robbery at the Tacos Mexico in Victorville.
