Lucerne Valley Man Dies in Apple Valley Collision

APPLE VALLEY-(VVNG.com): A 22-year-old male from Lucerne Valley suffered fatal injuries after an August 21st single-vehicle rollover on Cahuilla Road just east of Laguna Seca Drive in Apple Valley.

According to CHP officials, at about 6:00 a.m. the man was driving his 2001 silver Ford Ranger eastbound on Cahuilla Road at an undetermined rate of speed.

As he traveled through the dirt road, for reasons still under investigation he turned his steering wheel hard to the right, hitting a dirt beam causing the truck to overturn.

The man, who the CHP press release states, was not wearing his seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The collision is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol. At this time it is not known if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the collision.

The name of the deceased is undisclosed at this time, information will be updated as it is received.
