Kyle McConnell’s killer remains at large; detectives need your help

OAK HILLS, Calif. ( – Homicide investigators need your help in tracking down the suspects in the murder of 19-year-old Kyle McConnell, of Victorville.

McConnell’s life was cut short when he was gunned down outside an ‘advertised’ house party in the 7700 block of Foley Road in Oak Hills on January 6, 2018. McConnell was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

In a Thursday afternoon sheriff’s news release, officials said they’ve located a second victim from the night of the shooting. A 19-year-old male, who had been severely beaten and robbed of his personal property was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for multiple head and neck injuries and has since been released, stated the release.

Investigators determined over 100 attendees were at the house party but left before talking to deputies. “Many of the partygoers, who may be witnesses, fled as deputies arrived. Investigators urge those people to contact Homicide Investigators.”

Kyle is remembered as a well-loved and respected person with a big heart. Kyle was very excited about the upcoming birth of his unborn child with his long-time girlfriend.
