Homeless man taken to hospital following assault in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 39-year-old homeless man was taken to a local hospital after he was allegedly beaten-up by a group of young males, officials said.

At about 2:00 am, on Monday, May 14, 2018, Victorville Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an assault and located the victim behind the business in the 14600 block Valley Center Drive.

“The victim told deputies it was a group of younger males that attacked him and he did not know who they were. He did not desire prosecution of the suspects,” stated sheriff’s station spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez.

Deputies searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate anyone matching the description.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor cuts and abrasions,” Rodriguez said.
