Hesperia Man Stabs Woman Multiple Times

HESPERIA:( A 37-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for attempted murder on Tuesday afternoon.

On June 14, 2016, at approximately 1:12 p.m., Deputies of the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to an unknown problem at a residence on the 14000 Block of Poplar Street.

Authorities said the reporting party told dispatchers they believed a male, later identified as Richard Chavez may have hurt someone.

As deputies responded to the location, additional information was relayed that a female had a leg injury.

Deputies arrived on scene to find a female suffering from numerous stab wounds. She was transported by air to an undisclosed hospital down the hill. The severity of the females injuries are unknown at this time.

Chavez was located at a neighboring home and detained without incident. Through investigation, it was learned the victim and suspect were friends who reportedly had a falling out.

Suspect Chavez was arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of PC664/187-Attempt murder.
