Full Containment on Tower Fire Expected Tuesday Evening

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) Fire officials announced they expect to have full containment on the Tower Fire fire by Tuesday evening.

The Tower Fire started just before 4:00 p.m. in the Cajon Pass near Cleghorn on Sunday, April 30th. The fire quickly burned through light to medium brush/chaparral helping it to rapidly grow to 200 acres.

As the fire continued to move in a northerly direction, it caused thick smoke to impact the Victor Valley.

The U.S. Forest Service with assistance from San Bernardino County Fire and Cal-Fire San Bernardino Unit have been working hard to contain the fire.

Firefighters have managed to hold the fire at 200 acres with full containment expected by 6:00 pm today.
