“Free Dump” Event for City of Victorville Residents This Saturday, Nov. 19

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – This Saturday, Nov. 19, the City of Victorville is collaborating with Burrtec Waste Industries/Victorville Disposal to sponsor a Free Dump & Recycle Day. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Victor Valley Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), located at 17000 Abbey Lane in Victorville. Direction signs will be placed at Stoddard Wells Rd. and Abbey Lane.

The Free Dump & Recycle Day is for City of Victorville residents only, and proof of current City of Victorville residency will be required (current water bill, utility bill, or driver’s license). No business waste materials will be accepted. No commercial vehicles will be admitted.

Items such as mattresses, old furniture, garden trimmings/weeds, broken fences, appliances, scrap metal, cardboard boxes, extra trash, and other debris can be disposed of, free of charge during the event.

No tires, TVs/computers, dirt/soil/rocks, hazardous waste, compressed gas cylinders, or asbestos materials will be accepted at this event. Call City of Victorville Environmental Programs at 760-955-8615 for information on disposal options for these other items.
