Firefighter Save Nearby Structures After Abandon House Catches Fire

HESPERIA-(VVNG.com): At around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1st San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire on the 16400 block of Juniper Street in Hesperia. Reporting parties told dispatchers that heavy smoke and fire was coming from the windows of the abandoned home.

Upon arrival within minutes of the calls, Firefighters found the home fully involved with heavy fire coming from all windows.

Although security bars on the windows of the home hampered firefighters efforts, they were able to make access to conduct a primary search for any possible victims. Once cleared of any occupants, crews were able to extinguish the blaze within 25 minutes.

The quick and precise efforts of the crews fighting the fire, damage to adjacent homes was limited to minor exterior damage. A total of 16 San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel responded to the fire. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.

The cause is still under investigation at this time.
