VICTORVILLE, Calif:(VVNG.com)- Two people have been arrested for falsifying information in order to enter the Blue Cut Fire Evacuation center.
On Monday, August 22, 2016, Deputies Shawn Hollosy and George Dorta were assigned to the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds to ensure the safety of evacuees who were displaced by the Blue Cut Fire.
Deputy Hollosy was reviewing protocols and documents at the evacuation center when he noticed information that appeared to be incorrect. Further investigation was conducted and it was learned that the suspects, 21-year-old Kamariyae Melton and 20-year-old Kennette Brock, had signed into the center using an invalid address. Deputies spoke to staff at the center and found the suspects were attempting to obtain placement, claiming that they could not return to their residence.
Both Kamariyae Melton and Kennette Brock were arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center on charges of conspiracy to commit burglary. Melton was also booked on charges of perjury and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, while Brock is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
