ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 27-year-old Adelanto man was arrested after a deputy foiled his attempt to burglarize a home Tuesday morning, officials said.
At about 11:25 am, Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputy Thomas Gates was out on patrol when he saw the front door open at a house in the 18100 block of Delicious Street in Adelanto.
“Deputy Gates stopped to check the residence and witnessed Carlos Meza walking from the property. Meza, who is on active probation, had an antique painting set and a container of matches. Gates confirmed the items were removed from the inside of the victim’s residence,” stated a sheriff’s news release.
Meza was arrested for burglary and booked at the High Desert Detention Center, and is being held without bail on a probation hold.
