Decomposed Body Found in Landers

LANDERS:( Homicide investigators have launched a death investigation after the body of a “severely decomposed” adult male was discovered on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.

According to a press release, a citizen who was out searching for a missing friend, discovered the remains in a remote wash area west of State Route 247 and north of Napa Street, located in the unincorporated area of Landers.

Due to the unknown circumstances surrounding the subjects death, detectives from the Sheriff’s Homicide Detail were requested to assume the investigation. The case is currently being investigated as a death investigation. Until the remains are positively identified no correlation can be made to any missing person investigations, or other investigations.
